Mesa Verde MS - Incoming 6th Grade Parent Night

Date & Time: Tuesday, February 24, 2026 5:30–7:00 p.m.
Location: Mesa Verde Middle School Gym
Event Purpose: Learn what to expect in middle school.

Find out how to input your child’s elective course selections for the upcoming school year.

Attendance Details: Parents only (due to limited gym space).
Carpooling encouraged.

Pancake Breakfast

Aug 23 Pancake Breakfast

Coyote Families are invited to attend our annual Family Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, August 23rd from 8 am to 10:30 am. This event is free for the whole family to attend (donations are appreciated but not required!). Our Dad's Club will be serving up some delicious homemade pancakes right off the grill. Dress them up with some of your favorite toppings and enjoy a morning connecting with other Canyon View families. Please note, this is not a drop-off event. For their safety, please plan to supervise your child/ren during the event.

August 2025 CVES Calendar of Events

Welcome back Coyote Families! August is already upon us and we are excited for the new school year! We already have several notable events to share from School Year's Eve, Back to School Nights (one for TK and Kinder and one for Grades 1 through 5), and our Annual Pancake Breakfast. Mark those calendars and stay tuned for more info about each event! Social and fundraising events are voluntary and not required. Parent supervision is required at all social events.

Kindergarten Orientation!

Canyon View is excited to announce that there will be a Kindergarten orientation on May 22, 2025 in the Canyon View multi-purpose room (MPR) starting at 4:00 pm. This is an informational meeting for parents of incoming kindergarten students in the Fall of 2025. We kindly request that children do not attend.

Transitional Kindergarten Orientation!

Canyon View is excited to announce that there will be a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) orientation on May 20, 2025 in the Canyon View multi-purpose room (MPR) starting at 4:00 pm. This is an informational meeting for parents of incoming TK students in the Fall of 2025. We kindly request that children do not attend.

Full Day TK in Poway Unified!

We have some exciting news regarding our district’s TK program! Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, PUSD Transitional Kindergarten will be a full-day program.

The range of age-eligibility will also expand - children who turn four-years-old on or before September 1, 2025, will be age-eligible for TK. (Students who turn five-years-old on or before September 1, 2025 will be age-eligible for Kindergarten). Enrollment for TK for 2025-26 school year opens on April 1, 2025. Please feel free to share this news with your friends and neighbors who have children in this age range.
